The Secret of Efficient Centrifuge- Adjustable Impeller

The Secret of Efficient Centrifuge - Adjustable Impeller

Clear liquid typically overflows the weir plate and flows out of the horizontal screw centrifuge in the absence of pressure. Instead of using a weir plate, an impeller can also be used to discharge the clear liquid, meaning the clear liquid is discharged under pressure in a closed system. The prerequisite for the normal operation of this system is that there should be no solid substances in the centrifuge that may cause the impeller to clog.

Adjustable Impeller
An adjustable impeller is an upgrade of the impeller. In this type of impeller, the position of the impeller can be adjusted through a regulating device. This means that the liquid flows out at different diameters (simply by operating the handle). Additionally, due to its ability to quickly adapt to changes in feed, impeller adjustment can also improve separation performance.

Basically, it can be understood as follows:

Small impeller diameter ► deep liquid pool

Large impeller diameter ► shallow liquid pool

The diameter of the selected weir plate depends on the application type or requirements. The set diameter can be easily read through the scale.

Advantages of Adjustable Impeller
- The adjustable impeller can be adjusted during continuous operation to optimize according to changes in operating conditions (feed conditions).

- Achieve perfect separation performance, thereby obtaining the best product effect.

- Can precisely set the depth of the liquid pool (by changing the weir plate diameter).

- Supports automated operation.

- Liquid is discharged under pressure, eliminating the need for a discharge pump.

- Easy reading of values through the scale..
