What is Decanter Centrifuge?
A decanter centrifuge (also known as solid bowl centrifuge) separates continuously solid materials from liquids in the slurry, and therefore plays an important role in the wastewater treatment, chemical, oil, and food processing industries.
Solid-liquid separation is a common manufacturing process and Shenzhou has more than 45 years of experience in decanter centrifuge uses to meet this requirement in various industries. How Does a Decanter Centrifuge Work?
Decanter centrifuge is mainly composed of a feed tube, a bowl, a screw conveyor, and solid/liquid phase discharged outlets. In the separation process, the raw material is pumped into the bowl (also called a rotating drum) through the feed tube. Then, the bowl and the screw conveyor rotate at a high speed in the same direction at a differential speed. By centrifugal force, the solid particles with higher density are collected and compacted on the wall of the bowl, then be pushed to the outlet of the bowl by the screw conveyor. The clarified liquid leaves through a paring disc (internal centripetal pump). Eventually, the separation of the solid and liquid is achieved.

Features of Decanter Centrifuges
DRUM
The drum of the decanter can be made of SS304 or SS316, or it can be centrifugal cast with duplex stainless steel 2205 or 2304.

The solids discharge port is made from Tungsten carbide inserts, the
anti-abrasion will extend the life.
BALANCING PROCESS
3 Stage balancing process to maximize the balance of the centrifuge
include 1800RPM low speed balancing and real operation high speed
balancing as well as the assembly balancing.
SCREW
The Screw is protected by interchangeable Tungsten Carbide Tiles for
longer life and easy maintenance
The mud distribution port is made from Tungsten carbide inserts, the
anti-abrasion will extend the life for heavy mud.
srew CONVEYOR
The screw is made from stainless steel with heat treatment, and the
opening impeller will improve the centrifuge capacity. Single Lead or
double lead screw is optional
TWO MOTORS
Two motors in one side to give more space for the operator to do
maintenance.
The bearings are premium SKF bearings for reliable and longer
