HR Series 2 stages Sea Salt Refining Pusher Centrifuge

This two - stage pusher centrifuge is applied in solid washing and solid - liquid separation processes. It can handle solids such as crystals, granules, or fibers, provided that their particle size exceeds 0.004 mm and the concentration is greater than 40%.

Working Principle

As depicted in the diagram above, when the basket rotates at its maximum speed, the suspension liquid earmarked for separation is introduced into the feeding pipe 1. From there, it is continuously channeled to the distributor 2. Under the influence of centrifugal force, the suspension liquid spreads evenly across the first - stage basket screen 3. A majority of the liquid phase passes through the screen mesh and the holes in the basket. Meanwhile, the solid phase remains on the screen in the shape of an annular filter cake.

As the first - stage basket moves back and forth, it propels the filter cake to advance a certain distance along the axial direction of the basket. During this process, as the first - stage basket moves, the empty areas on the screen are once again filled with the continuous flow of suspension liquid, which then forms a new filter cake. Through this continuous reciprocating motion, the filter cake moves forward in a pulsing manner and undergoes further drying.

Subsequently, the filter cake migrates from the first - stage basket into the second - stage basket. Once in the second - stage basket, the filter cake is loosened and redistributed on the second - stage basket screen. It is then pushed out of the basket and continuously enters the collecting tank 5. Finally, the filter cake is removed from the machine through the tangential discharge port by the scraper 4 installed in the second - stage basket. In the absence of the scraper, the filter cake would simply drop directly into the machine casting.

1. Casing
When looking at the front of the machine, a circular door can be observed on the casing. This door enables us to effectively monitor the machine's working condition.

Atop the casing, there is a feed pipe. Additionally, a screw conveyor for feeding purposes can be installed. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the casing, both the solid cake outlet and the liquid outlet are located.
