LW500 Wastewater Treatment WWTP Decanter Centrifuge
LW500 wastewater treatment (WWTP) Decanter Centrifuge is a common model, which has been used in wastewater treatment, metal mine wastewater, magnetic particle treatment, textile, chemical wastewater, calcium carbonate, vegetable juice, fruit juice and other industries in practical projects.

Decanter centrifuges have a variety of uses. They are primarily clarifiers, suitable for treating suspensions with very high content of solids (40–60%). Basically, decanter centrifuges consist of a solid-wall horizontal bowl with a cylindrical zone and a conical zone (As below picture). The solids move to the wall and the clear liquid to the center. A screw conveyor or scroll scrapes the solids off the wall and moves them mechanically towards the solids outlet. If equipped with the necessary baffles and outlets, decanters can also separate two immiscible liquids while continuously discharging a voluminous sludge. When operating in this mode, decanters are used in the production of olive oil. Decanter centrifuges can be used also for continuous solid–liquid extraction.
