Structure And Working Principle
The horizontal spiral centrifuge uses the density difference between solid and liquid phase to accelerate the sedimentation rate of solid particles under the action of centrifugal force, so as to achieve solid-liquid separation.
The centrifuge is composed of two rotors, one is called a rotating drum, and the other rotor is a spiral discharger (referred to as a spiral). When the drum rotates at a high speed, the slurry in the drum rotates with the drum and is subjected to centrifugal force many times greater than the gravity. In this way, the solid particles are separated from the liquid and settle from the axis of the centrifuge drum to the inner wall of the drum. The screw discharger in the drum rotates at a lower speed than the drum, pushing the deposited solid particles to the slag discharge opening. The difference between the external drum and the screw discharger depends on the differential transmission ratio and speed.
