The Shenzhou LW760 is the big bowl centrifuge in the decanter line, built around a 760 mm (30-inch) bowl diameter and a 4.2:1 length-to-diameter ratio. That geometry is what earns it the "big bowl" designation: the larger diameter and longer bowl give a single unit far more retention volume than a standard 450–550 mm decanter, so one machine can process high-volume slurry streams that would otherwise need two or three smaller centrifuges running in parallel.
At the core of the design is a rotating drum paired with an internal screw conveyor turning at a slightly different speed. Feed slurry accelerates inside the drum, solids settle against the bowl wall under centrifugal force that reaches up to 2,900 G, and the conveyor continuously scrapes the settled cake toward the discharge port while clarified liquid exits through adjustable weir plates at the opposite end. Because it is engineered for abrasive, high-volume duty, the solids discharge port, slurry inlet, and the leading edge of the screw conveyor are all protected with tungsten carbide inserts, which is the main reason this machine holds up in continuous service where lower-cost decanters wear through in months.
Typical duty for the LW760 includes tunnel-boring mud cleaning on shield and TBM projects, dredging slurry dewatering, municipal sludge thickening at purification plants, and high-flow industrial wastewater treatment. With a designed capacity of roughly 120 m³/h on 20% solids mud, a 160 kW main drive and a 90 kW back-drive motor, the unit is sized for civil-engineering and heavy-industrial sites rather than laboratory or small-batch work. Bowl speed, differential speed and torque are all variable-frequency controlled, so operators can tune this big bowl centrifuge to changing feed conditions without stopping the line.
